About Netcraft
A small web development company in Bratislava, Slovakia. We build and improve websites and e-commerce systems, migrate sites off platforms that have become expensive to run, and remove technology that is no longer earning its place.
The company
Netcraft, s.r.o. is a web development company registered in Bratislava, Slovakia, and trading since 2015.
We build and improve websites and e-commerce systems, move sites off platforms that have become expensive or difficult to maintain, review existing infrastructure, and automate the steps that are worth automating.
The company is small on purpose. It means we take on fewer projects and stay directly involved in each one.
How we work
Work is quoted, not billed by the hour. Most projects start with a fixed-fee audit that produces a written plan with a number on it — you decide whether to proceed after reading it, and if the plan says the work is not worth doing, that is what it will say.
There are no account managers and no handovers. Whoever scopes the work writes the code and stays responsible for it.
Your repository, domain, accounts, content and infrastructure stay in your name. Handover-readiness is a design constraint here, not a closing formality: another competent developer should be able to take over what we build.
What we don’t do
We don’t take on work we are not the right people for. We are not a penetration testing firm, we don’t run a 24/7 on-call rota, and we don’t sell retainers for maintenance a site shouldn’t need.
Not that Netcraft
There is a well-known internet security and research company in the United Kingdom that shares our name — netcraft.com, the one behind the web server survey. We are not affiliated or associated with them in any way. We have traded under this name in Bratislava since 2015, and the overlap is a coincidence we have learned to live with.
We are also not connected to Netcraft Solutions in Prague. Netcraft’s Czech subsidiary is named Netcraft s.r.o.; its registration details can be provided for due diligence.
